Wintertime Spice Tea Recipe

All across the country temperatures are falling along with the first snow of the season (oh how I miss that white fluffy stuff!).  This is by far my favorite time of the year because it means enjoying many of my favorite things . . . beautiful sparkling snow, corduroy pants, turtleneck sweaters, down jackets, a warm crackling fire and sipping a mug of a hot, yummy beverage.  So, as a salute to "Winter", I decided to share a recipe for one of my favorite hot beverages.  It's not only great to have on hand at home but also is great for gift giving!  For those of you that receive this in your goody bag, just pretend that you don't know how easy this is to make :-)

So without any further ado, I give you

"Wintertime Spice Tea" (from Gooseberry Patch Christmas Book 3)

Ingredients:
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. sweetened lemonade mix
1 c. powdered orange drink mix (i.e., Tang)
1/2 c. instant tea
1/2 t. cinnamon*
1/2 t. ground cloves*

Directions:
Mix all ingredients together & store in airtight container.  To serve:  Add 3 to 4 teaspons to one cup of hot water; stir well.
*Note:  I like my tea a little spicier so I add an additional 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and cloves.
